If you like to take adventurous hikes, then you won’t want to miss out on the chance to hike Grapevine Canyon. This is one hike that will provide you with the chance to enjoy all of the important elements. You will be able to enjoy plenty of great views and a hike that will give you the workout you have been wanting.
This hike will take you about 3 hours to complete, so you want to be sure you bring everything you are going to need and don’t forget plenty of water. Before you attempt this hike you do want to be sure that you are ready for a 4 mile hike that is moderately difficult.
While most of this hike is fairly easy to get through, there are some areas which will take a bit more work. The great thing about this hike is all of the scenery and other features you will be able to take in while you enjoy the exercise. The only season you don’t want to enjoy this great hike during is the hot summer months. The heat will be too much on this moderately difficult and remote hike.
While you are on your hike you will get to view gorgeous waterfalls and thousand year old Petroglyphs that reach from hundreds of feet and come down to meet you at eye level. You won’t want to miss out on the chance to take a few moments from your hike to appreciate this sight.
Once you get further into the canyon on your hike you will realize where the name Grapevine Canyon comes from. There is a wild grapevine that will amaze you. It stretches from one side of the canyon to the other side, a distance of about 100 feet!
If this hike sounds appealing to you then you will want to go west from Laughlin on Hwy 163. Then, you will go North on Christmas Tree Pass Rd. Make a left onto Grapevine Canyon, there will be a sign posted.
