#53: Visit Dateland Arizona

Arizona has a lot of great scenery and hidden treasures which make it a very exciting travel destination if you are planning an up and coming trip. One town you should think about making a visit to is Dateland. This town was established in the beginning of the 1920’s.Dateland Arizona

Dateland was originally established as a water stop for the railroad lines. This was back when the steam engines had to make a stop approximately every 5 minutes for water. Dateline can be found just north of the border of Mexico and is on Interstate 8 between Phoenix and Yuma.

In the 40’s Dateline was used as a desert training camp. There were also three airstrips built in Dateline for B52 Bombers. If you like to learn about history and would like the chance to see it up close and personally, then you will want to add Dateline to your agenda.

There are many reasons why people stop in Dateline when they are in the area. Some people may have had family members that were actually trained here, others may want to see a piece of history, and some stop because Dateline is a convenient stop for them to make while they are passing through. If you are taking your family on a trip through the great state of Arizona and want to make sure to add some interesting stops to your list of things to see and do, then do consider making a pit stop here.

You will want to be sure that you purchase some dates while you are in Dateline. His is something this town is known for and you can bring some back home to share with your friends and family. Plus, you will be able to have them to snack on during the rest of your trip through Arizona. Dateland Arizona
